Organised by Altus Arts & Culture,  APF is welcoming Norwegian pianist Helge Lien’s trio project at Ankara Piano Festival on January 25th, 2019.

Helge Lien proved himself to be a musician who is not afraid to explore the borders between different musical genres. His basic styleas a jazz pianist has always been a distinctive feature. Influenced by Bill Evans’ lyric-dynamic style of playing, and Keith Jarrett’s creativity Norwegian pianist Helge Lien loves to cross the borders of piano, bass and drums. Lien is a technically brilliant player, with a solid and rich sound. In 2008 Helge Lien Trio won the Norwegian Grammy for their album “Hello Troll”, and has achieved international acclaim. The group maintains the balance between jazz traditions and the avantgardist art of improvisation, adding new features to the present soundscape.
