Danish melodramatic band BLAUE BLUME, will be performing at ANMF for the first time in Ankara on November 28th, 2017.

Blaue Blume derived its name from a poem written by Joseph von Eichendorff. The poem’s symbol of romanticism and endeavour to perfection represents their music pretty well. The intriguing androgynous falsetto of singer Jonas Smith immediately catches everyone’s attention, without a doubt.

After the band announced their debut track “On New Years Eve” on Soundcloud in May 2013, the track gained a massive attention all around Europe on various music media and blogs. It was called the best debut track in 2013 by the hype blog Fake DIY and reached the Top50 for 2013 of “The Line of Best Fit”. They find inspiration in the drama of The Smiths, the melodic structures from the Cocteau Twins, the complexity and dynamics from “The lamb lies down on Broadway” by Genesis and the sexy “dancyness” from Roxy Music. They released their last album Syzygy in 2015.
